ASOhack Review: What It Is, What It Isn't (Honest 2026)
An honest review of ASOhack — what the free ASO audit tool actually does well, where it falls short, and how it compares to AppTweak, Sensor Tower, and Mobile Action.
This post is a self-review. We built ASOhack, so take the praise with a grain of salt — but we've tried to be honest about where it wins, where it doesn't, and who it isn't for.

What ASOhack is
ASOhack is a free App Store Optimization auditing toolkit for indie mobile developers and small teams. The core promise:

What ASOhack does well
1. Speed
The audit returns in 15 seconds. No data export delay, no waiting on AppTweak's analysis pipeline.
2. Free + no signup
Up to 5 audits/day anonymously, 1 audit/week signed in. Most users never hit the limit.
3. AI vision on icons and screenshots
This is the differentiator vs older tools. AppTweak, Sensor Tower, Mobile Action — none have AI vision analysis of your icon and screenshots. ASOhack runs OpenAI's vision model and gives specific feedback ("Your first screenshot's main subject is below the fold at thumbnail size").
4. Side-by-side comparison
Paste two App URLs, audit both, see them next to each other. Surprisingly useful. AppTweak's equivalent is in their higher tier.
5. Prioritized fixes
Other audits dump data. ASOhack ranks fixes by impact. The top 3 are usually the ones that matter.
6. Pricing transparency
Pro is $18.99/month flat. No enterprise tier, no "contact sales." Compare to AppTweak ($79+ with feature gating), Mobile Action ($69+), Sensor Tower (sales-led).
What ASOhack doesn't do (yet)
1. Historical keyword rank tracking
We don't (yet) store daily keyword rank snapshots over months. If that's your primary need, Mobile Action ($69) or AppTweak ($79+) covers it.
2. Ad creative spy library
No library of competitor ad creative. Use Facebook Ad Library (free) and TikTok Creative Center (free) for this.
3. Integrated review reply workflow
We analyze reviews but don't let you reply directly from the dashboard. AppFollow ($79+) does. Most teams reply via App Store Connect / Play Console anyway.
4. Multi-year market trends
No multi-year download / revenue estimates. That's Sensor Tower or data.ai territory — and they charge $1k+/month for it.
5. Daily monitoring across many keywords
We're a tool you use ad-hoc, not a 24/7 monitoring service. If you need alerts when a competitor changes their listing, Mobile Action and AppTweak have that.
